Tekken 2 VER.B [Arcade] - play as Kazuya Mishima
Показать описание
This is a playthrough using Kazuya Mishima in the Arcade version of Tekken 2 version B. Read on below for more information...
This is a version of Kazuya that is for human players to select and play as, and is different to the CPU Boss Kazuya with the purple suit. Therefore technically, the player version of him does not actually appear as a boss opponent in the game. He is an immediate playable character in this version of the game.
Alternatively you can also select him through the use of a secret command/code, shown below:
===== ALTERNATE WAY TO SELECT KAZUYA =====
On the character select screen, do and press the following input commands:
Highlight Heihachi, Down, Up, hold Up, Start, Start, release Up, Up
If you've done it correctly, Kazuya will be selected.
===== ABOUT KAZUYA =====
As mentioned earlier, this is a different and separate version of him to the CPU Boss Kazuya, created for the purpose of being selected/controlled by a human player. He has two costumes: the lower Karate suit; and the white shirt/blue jeans.
If you didn't know that Player Kazuya and CPU Kazuya are separate characters for different uses (most people don't know), you would think that this is simply the same Kazuya with a 3rd costume used as the boss on Stage 9. This has proven to not be the case.
===== GAMEPLAY =====
As one of the original Mishimas of Tekken, he has the trademark Mishima-style moves. In Tekken 2, many people tend to think that his moves list is identical to Devil (besides the Lasers)... this is most definitely not the case, as Kazuya has more tricks up his sleeve, making him the better character.
In Version B of the game, one of the changes made is that he has an extra sweep in his Rising Sun move, resulting in 4 kicks for the whole move.
===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====
---- His Stage 8 personal boss is Roger; his Stage 9 boss is Heihachi; and his final boss is Devil.
---- The player version of him does not have the purple suit, unlike in the PS1 version of Tekken 2.
---- Him and CPU Kazuya are the only characters in the game to fight their personal sub-bosses (Roger) on Stage 8 without the "personal boss" BGM theme.
---- Gameplay-wise, he seems to be identical to CPU Kazuya.
---- Gameplay-wise, there may be damage infliction and receipt differences between him and CPU Kazuya but I have not run any tests for this.
---- He is the only character in the game to have a proper side-step move, called the Mist Step.
===== ABOUT ARCADE TEKKEN 2 Ver.B =====
This is an upgrade to Ver.A that adds some new moves; refines and balances out the gameplay; as well as having a more noticeable indication of the boss characters being available for selection. It seems that in the latest and last revision D (Ver.B, revision D) of the game, all the boss characters are immediately available on the character select screen (besides CPU Kazuya of course).
The input commands to select the sub-bosses from Ver.A works in this version of Ver.B.
However in some earlier revisions of Ver.B, only two of the sub-bosses (Wang and Armor King) are initially available, and the sub-boss hidden input commands from Ver.A does not work.
You can generally distinguish between Ver.A and Ver.B of the game by seeing what colour the winning icons (after a Round is won) under the lifebar are. If they are Red then it's Ver.A; if they are Green then it is Ver.B.
Interestingly, it should also be mentioned that in the Arcade versions of Tekken 2, there is a setting in the options/operator screen that allows you to set either Baek or Jun as the regular character on the character select screen.
