Timeless music. Still sounds fresh in 2023. Expert production, beautiful lyrics and music altogether.

Philly spoke to the heart. I grew up listening to his music as i hearded animals, tilled the garden and suffered domestic injustices. But i persisted and went through school, graduated, got a job and started my own family! Listening to these lyrics, i feel the fresh wounds, pain and hopelesness of those times. I guess to some giving up is not an option! Nakowa okukaba, okwekubagiza, okwegomba and decided to work hard and prosper or die while trying but giving up was never an option! RIP Great composer and lyric master Philly!

He is still the greatest Ugandan musician of all time. His talent is till unmatched by masqueraders in the music industry. So humble yet so original. Ugandan musicians can learn a lot from the late Philly Lutaaya, Elly wamala and Jimmy Katumba. Leave fighting to greedy leaders and live musician legendary lives like Bob Marley.
