It takes 4 to 5 years foe Pixar to complete a film. Any time Pixar releases a film, they've already been deep into the production of their next film.

Also, when the studio first formed. John Lassiter and the other creatives at Pixar mapped out the stories for their first 5 films. Easter eggs for future movies is a rite of passage.

Honestly, the 1995-2006 era of Pixar was my absolute favorite. Toy Story 1 & 2, A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Cars are irreplaceable in my mind and heart.
