Good job! Does anyone else see this as a nonlinear story? The main character's (narrator) problem is stated in the beginning. He wants to prove he isn't a madman, so he tells the story of the murder. The entire story is his explanation of why he is sane. The rising action (murder) leads to the climax of the story, his confession to the murder. This takes place at the very end. The narrator only proves he is insane. His problem with the old man's eye is the reason for the murder.
