Originally from Arizona, Mort Rosenblum has been nominated 8 times for the Pulitzer Prize. He received the Overseas Press Club Award in 1989 and the Associated Press Award for Best Reporting in 1990, 2000 and 2001.

Mort Rosenblum studied in Tucson, Arizona. At a very young age he joined the Mexico City Times and then the Caracas Daily Journal, before joining AP (Associated Press) in 1965. His career as a reporter began two years later when he was sent by AP to the Congo to cover the mercenary war. Later, Mort Rosenblum managed several offices of the agency in Kinshasa, Lagos, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Singapore, Buenos Aires and Paris. From 1979 to 1981, the journalist and writer joined the famous International Herald Tribune before becoming AP's Paris correspondent again until 2004.

Mort Rosenblum now teaches international reporting at the University of Arizona, Tucson. He is the author of some fifteen books, most recently Little Bunch of Madmen: "Elements of Global Reporting" (2010) and "Escaping Plato's Cave" (2007).
