Nanaimo's community safety officer program has been active for about a month, working in addition to RCMP and providing support to vulnerable citizens. Many are calling it a success, but others say the resources could be better allocated.

I was assaulted in Nanaimo BC and the RCMP put me in the Psych ward on an involuntary hold. I work at the same hospital where this took place. Why don’t the RCMP do anything.

with the new hard drugs being legal, now two shooting and an unused medical center was set on fire and one of the squatters who was in there at the time died in there..
