EFF PRESIDENT MWENDA CHAINS SELF TO STATUE

Economic Freedom Fighters -EFF- Party President KASONDE MWENDA today chained himself to the Freedom Statue in Kitwe to press the UPND Government to include resources to fund the proposed free education policy in the 2022 national Budget.

Mr. MWENDA who was clad in a Copperbelt University graduation gown told ZNBC news that Government should include resources for free education in the budget to allow more youths access to general and tertiary education.

But the UPND Kitwe district chairperson BOWAS KAPATA said the EFF president must follow procedure when airing his grievances.

Mr. KAPATA added that Mr. KASONDE and his party must provide meaningful checks and balances to the UPND instead of causing anarchy in the city.

AND Copperbelt University student MUPENDA CHINZILA said the opposition party should give the UPND government time because Rome was not built in a day.
