For some history before Sam and Jay owned the house, it was the site of a Revolutionary War battlefield and was home to a tribe of Native Americans, the estate was then built and lived in by Hetty before being turned into a speakeasy by the mafia (who probably also decided to bury their victims on the property) was briefly turned into a campground for scouts, a spot for a hippie cult, and where a bunch of wall street guys could get drink and get high. So yeah that 5% chance of people becoming ghosts rose by a bit.

Tbh she stayed in the house longer than I thought. Normally when new ghosts are introduced they either come back every once in a while (e.g. their neighbors’ ghosts) or gone the same episode (e.g. Elias in the vault) but Patience stayed around for about 3-4 episodes, impressive.
