BALCONY MAKEOVER | SMALL RENTER FRIENDLY | SMALL TERRACE BUDGET TRANSFORMATION LONDON UK

I am so excited to share this one with you. It is our terrace transformation. Myself and Zara moved into our flat in London in August last year and we never got round to doing up our terrace before summer ended so we have been so excited to get things looking cosy for the summer months.

This makeover was done on a budget, with limited supplies and a lot of help from Amazon!

Amazing transformation 😍 Just a tip about the rosemary, didn't see any drainage holes. Rosemary needs well drained soil and sunshine 🌿🌞

Brilliant transformation!! I did the Fake Grass bit with my small yard which was mostly a very rough concrete path. It covered the concrete but left a small triangle of so called Garden. I picked up small rocks when I found them and made a rockery in the corner and got various "junk" furniture from second hand/charity shops. A cleaned up and painted green wooden bookcase for displaying small pots and other items. A small wooden indoor table and an "iffy" plastic chair painted the same green. A solar powered water feature and non-matching pots from the same junk shops to put some plants in and my yard was transformed. Lovely place now for a cuppa and even my little Mutt likes it. Again, brilliant and Well Done.

Fantastic transformation Luke and Zara. I think one of those lanterns with all the holes in would look nice hanging up. And also the lavender could do with some drainage holes in the base of the tin pot.

Good job upgrading your balcony! I would probably try to wash the walls, the pipes and the railings a bit, but that's just me. I am crazy. I hope you enjoy it!

I hope that once the lockdown is over we make more time to enjoy our outdoor spaces like this, they do in other countries so why not here? I know our weather isn't wonderful but coming home from work and having a bit of time outside is so therapeutic, or coffee in the morning before work, I love doing that.

The fake grass is a fab idea it really transforms it. I like what your neighbour has done with the bambo stuff. It’s great you now have a nice outdoor space that you will now enjoy
