The Birthday SMS - Changes to Yabber

Yabber's Birthday SMS module has undergone massive changes. These changes will be updated in our FAQs, but until then, this is my version of best practice.

1. Send an actual gift if your budget permits. Certainly applies to Tier 1 clients, Partners, Introduces etc. It'll probably be the only card they receive.

2. Send a real-world hand-written birthday card that includes a scrathy or similar. Place some clear tape over a 5c piece so they don't have to go looking for a coin. In 2017 a client's client won 250k!

3. Make a phone call. I know people don't communicate with words these days, and I appreciate most of us live a cyborg lifestyle, but a phone call is an excuse to talk to our client (remembering an old Choice survey claims most people don't remember their broker's name after a year - we don't want that stat to apply to us).

4. Send a personal SMS.

5. Yabber Automation.

Sure, EDGE and the repricing module manufactures post-settlement contact points, but the birthday contact is personal. The message means more and ensures you won't be forgotten.
