Will Boeing resume deliveries next week? After 15 months of halted deliveries, The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has given the green light to Boeing’s inspection and modification plan for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, according to persons familiar with the matter. This comes as extremely positive news for Boeing. In May 2021, deliveries of the 787 were halted following production issues dating back at least two years. Let’s look at what this means for Boeing in today’s video…

I got to fly on a 787 for the very first time last week!! It was magical! Even though I was seated in economy o managed to get 8 hours of sleep! I was absolutely amazed by how quiet and smooth the ride was!

Just flew on a 787-9 operated by KLM some weeks ago. Despite the flight being extremly full, it was a very nice aircraft and flight...

Let's hope this is the beginning of Boeing getting itself back on the right course.

I hope the FAA is vigilant. Boeing's current modus operandi is profits before quality and safety with its eye always on the short term share price. It's ironic that 30 years ago, business schools were using Boeing as an example of the hunt for quality leading to long term massive profits; now they use it as an example of the hunt for short term profits leading to long term drops in quality and safety. With that said, I hope Boeing can turn itself around. I love the idea and philosophy of the 787 and have enjoyed my flights on it.

I wonder if Boeing has any second thoughts about transferring production to poorly trained, under motivated and poorly supervised South Carolina workers? Have the 787 problems erased the expected financial gains of moving production away from its experienced but more costly talent pool in Everett?

I've never flown on the 787. Soon🙂. But I hope that Boeing has learned to put safety and quality first regarding their aircrafts rather than profit. If your plane is heading towards the earth uncontrollably there's nothing you can do about it. No way😣🙁. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!

Yessss, let’s hope this is a good beginning for Boeing as Hawaiian expects their first Dreamliners to arrive at Honolulu (HNL) soon, registered as N780HA, it is at Kelly’s field for storage

It'll be great to see Boeing 787 aircraft roll out of the production line and delivered to customers again... it's been an absolutely dreadful few years for the American long live Boeing!

The passenger experience in the 787 is noticeably better than older designs. Given the rigorous effect that has gone into fixing its’ production issues, new 787s should be very well built indeed. However what has been done to fix (?) older 787s that were already bin service when production was halted?

Can't come quick enough for Boeing . They desperately need to get these out the door to those on the list. Who is on the waiting list and what order are they going out ? Are the 8/9 and 10 variants all affected ?

This is good news. Good for Boeing, good for the aviation industry, good for the stock market and most importantly good for all the employees that have a part in building this beautiful aircraft.

The price u pay for being cheap, did they have quality issues in Everett Washington or when they moved to Charleston SC?

Well this is positive news for my thought experiment on the how to start an airline series over on the long haul channel.

That’s fabulous news! Boeing is such a frustrating company, they make all these amazing products, but some decisions from higher ups do the products a massive disservice and hinders public perception.

I flew a China Southern Airlines 787-9 on the route JFK - CAN and back, and it was a good aircraft for the incredibly long flight (I think around 15 or 16 hours)
