Would love to see you make that access door. Is there a video for that as well?

I'm no expert, but every lattice brand I looked at said to drill oversize holes and use screws for hanging the lattice. This allows for expansion without cracking. I just replaced my old lattice that the previous owner just nailed up and it was cracked in many places.

Thanks! very helpful! But for a super novice like me, it would have been good to see how you installed the 2.x4 and frames into the deck that you attached the lattice to. I'll figure it out though!

What will you do when it buckles with heat/cold

Nice video!
QQ: Does the 2x4 framing need to be treated? Rain & rot, etc.?

Is it better to use screws or nails to attach the lattice to the 2x4 and side piece?

Do you use pressure treated 2X4 for the bottom of the lattice. Won't water or poor weather make it much weaker?

Thanks for the video. I have potted poles 4 x 4 for outdoor lights. I want to run a sheet of latice from one pole to another, 8 feet apart. There is no top or bottom support unless I build it. Do you think this can be done?

Can you explain more about the mesh screen under the deck surface? For keeping out bugs once you enclosed the top section, so that the room is fully secured? Great idea.

Never nail vinyl lattice. It has absolutely 100% got to be able to move with expansion and contraction. It will crack and break if it cant move.Huge, huge mistake.
