Biden Blasts Republican 'Dream' of Cutting Social Security, Medicare

Pres. Biden appeared in Florida on Thursday to continue his public defense of Social Security and Medicare, two days after he publicly sparred with House Republicans over those programs during his televised State of the Union address.

Florida's Sen. Rick Scott and Gov. Ron DeSantis have been on record as wanting to cut both social programs in the past.

I get $545 social security a month and have to live in a tent in the woods with my other homeless friend outside of Philly because I can’t afford rent anywhere and food at the same time. I have to choose one or the other so I choose food and necessities. It breaks my heart that there’s people out there that want to take away from disabled people like me who have nothing.
