We use bricks to get the squid rig to the sea floor, we go buy 5 to 10 whole fresh squids from the market bring them home cut them open places the hooks rig in the squid and sow in up a place into the fridge in zip lock bags then when we find out spot we tie a brick to the hook with very lite line and once in hits the sea floor we reel the line in abit then give the rod a yank and the lite line with the brick breaks and the squid moves around unweighted but we are in 500m of water so we can't anchor, it's fun type of fishing but I prefer estuary fishing
