2020 Virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Spark the season’s spirit with Alexandria’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in the safety and comfort of home. To comply with Virginia's Safer at Home Phase Three guidelines, this year's celebration takes place online with virtual presentations, including a proclamation from the Town Crier, holiday greetings from the Alexandria City Council, a message from Santa and Mrs. Claus, a poem read by Alexandria Poet Laureate KaNikki Jakarta, and the tree lighting countdown.

Alexandria you made this really difficult to find link to tree lighting You should have just made easy for all by saying watch via Our YouTube channel... When I finally figured out by a random search a link to tree lighting not via Alexandria va website... I was able to watch.. Hope in future years you will continue to show live virtual tree lighting for those of us who can’t stand to watch in person...
