He’s literally a comedian with the most relevant comedy album in years. Grammys are consistently off the mark as per usual.

To everyone saying that the Grammy’s defines “comedy album” as a “standup special album”, y’all have forgotten that Weird Al has been nominated in this category multiple times and he doesn’t make standup special albums at all. You also have musical comedy artists like The Lonely Island nominated in Best Comedy Album. So Inside is totally qualified for this category.

This is just another example of the Grammy’s placing an album in whatever category they think it belongs in, rather than where it actually fits (see: IGOR and Kacey Musgrave’s album this year)

Bo Burnham’s whole style has always been sad comedy. Comedy that includes the prevailing archetype of the sad clown instead of trying to fake the comedic optimism like the rest. Literally since his first special. I am glad to see new generations being introduced to his work, his longevity just shows the creativity and how much it means to people
