Unity is awesome! It's been one of the most accessible engines out there for a long time. With Unity/Unreal/Decima/etc it's really cool to see how far they can push tech art/fidelity, but it rarely is actually relevant to game development. If anything, so many of the major quality issues we're seeing from AAA games over the recent years have been because of the widespread obsession with pushing hardware to its limits instead of working in a more reasonable scope. This demo is really impressive & as an environment artist I'm absolutely loving it.. I just would rather get good built-in tools & UI lol. Gorgeous tech demos don't equate to good game development capabilities

Unity has always been an engine that has been dogged on for having "bad" graphics but for the longest time unity has been able to create some mind blowingly good graphics, it's just all down to the developers and because unity is such an easy engine to use you're going to see a lot of games that never live up to the engines potential

I think I could get behind ‘build-your-own-witcher’ as long as it’s purely aesthetic. I still want a really well written protagonist. Kinda like you could customize Shepard in Mass Effect.

I was really excited for Ghostwire: Tokyo however Amazon decided to not ship my preorder and told me they ran out of stock. How the hell do you run out of stock when someone preorders something? A lot of stores are doing this now.

Only reason I'm really giving up on battlefield is because EA has basically said "It's not really our fault" and when people are like "But what about my 60+ bucks" seems like now they're like "Eh sorry not sorry it sucked, next will be good we swear"

We'll see about the new Battlefield, the way they've handled this one by "listening to the player feedback" has turned me off of dice for a long while. It's clear the years of experience is gone and they're just chasing trends at this point.
The new one would have to have banging reviews for me to even consider

As a Halo guy, I loved Battlefield 4. I prefer it to Call of duty, but I haven't played 2042. Planned on getting it, but the backlash and the homie Gameranx put me off 🤣.
