What really hurts is that that description of a Hollywood hero is Bayformers Optimus to a tee, at least in the sequels. When working on one of them (I think Age of Extinction) Peter Cullen begged Michael Pay to change his lines so he wouldn't sound violent and psychotic, but Bay wouldn't budge.

God i wish that the higher ups who oversee the production of this franchise had taken Peter's words to heart and allowed Optimus to be that way in the movies. Hopefully that Transformers One movie will give us something like that.
