This LEGO Clone Wars Gunship takes the cake!!! 🎂

The Republic Gunship or LAAT (Low Altitude Assault Transport) can do it all. This heavily armed repulsorlift is effective in air-to-air and air-to-ground combat as well as troop/supply transport. They played a key roll in nearly all atmospheric combat in the clone wars, and are among the most well recognized and beloved ships from this era in the Star Wars universe. This minifigure scale brick-build model has an excellent smooth shape. It's built strong, holds two minifigures in the cockpits, and has functioning sliding doors with considerable space in the hull.

The specific design features for this Gunship variant most closely resemble what is seen in the Clone Wars show.

Model also includes partlist and instructions for a stand, an alternate Plo's Bros design + floodlights and a Bad Batch imperial design.

I think the slimmer look is nicer but I love the ball turrets on the sides however it looks a bit weird with a big gap like we see in the movies but that is the reason why the republic commando version of the gunship is my personal fave.

It has nice looking dual doors that overlap eachother when they open and it has the ball turrets attached to the side instead of the inside of the troop bay. This gives it the nice closed up look of the clone wars but keeps the awesome looking ball turrets from the movies

it is a model that i would love to see made in lego but i guess its too unknown to even be consitered.

Just finished building it and it looks incredible to say the least. I will say though that it doesn’t really feel like I should play with it. It doesn’t feel as strong as advertised but still ok. The carry handle is also fairly flimsy and has already almost come apart on me so be careful there as well. The building process was also more complicated than advertised especially with the doors. There are a lot of unorthodox techniques that look good but make the build feel unstable at times. Other than that I really like the build. It was well worth the long hours it took to put together. I just need to be careful when moving it around lol

The sticker on the side of the original lego clone wars version gave the ship much more character than this one. Kinda like how in WW1 and 2 some pilots decorated their planes.
