Arctic Air Ultra: Still Worth It?

This is the new updated version of the Arctic Air. The Ultra is suppose to have 2X the cooling power and has some other added features. These new features include an adjustable vent, new filter design and a sleeker design. Is this Arctic Air Ultra still worth buying in 2021 and how much will it cool a space down?

i just got one yesterday and for me it actually works for my entire room. i wouldn’t say that it cools down my room but when i have things running in my room(my geckos heat lamp, ps4, xbox one, tv, etc.) it maintains the temperature than when i didn’t have one and it got really hot. i honestly like this thing. it does the job for me instead of paying 500+ dollars for an ac unit

Always make sure the filter is, thoroughly soaked, in water. It doesn't have to be ice water, just cold water. Until the filter is wet, it's nothing more than a fan blowing over a bowl of water.

I bought my Artic Air one week ago and it's worth it. Prior to Artic Air my room was an oven. Now it pleasant

Freeze the filter and use ice cold water in the tray. It's seems to cool much better in a space.

The trick is to help the evaporation process by pairing it up with something that dries out the air in the room. So I paired it up with a window air conditioner and now it works amazingly.

Just bought one from cvs I was skeptical but this thing really work! it’s like a little fan that blows cool air honestly its working for me and I’m about 6 feet away from now.. I didn’t even put ice in it yet.. on a hot night 🥵 it’s better than a fan blowing hot air

I like it when its warm out and use ice and refrigerated water in it, and it makes it nice in my room. But if its really hot and or humid it doesn't do much. It's definitely not an AC replacement.

I love mine it cools my body down in my personal space I live in texas and it is so much better than a regular fan and I bought it for 19.99 at tjmaxx so worth the price I paid.

So I bought this at walmart for around $40 for my tent as I have an outlet near buy to plug in. I have it propped up next to my air mattress. It's cool at night and gives off good white noise if you need that for sleeping. 1 major con is that this is not cold enough when that hot summer sun is beaming on your tent at 8 in the morning. Secondly, this does filter the water you put in it so you will need a drip container of some kind!

I have one in a tiny room(mini office) in my house. It works fine for what it is. You can place it on your desk; at home or at work. If it’s for a camper... great... if you use it for your bedroom... put it on your end table facing you. Also wet and freeze filter...4 mins... chill a cup of water at the same time then refill. You can feel the difference.

I just bought mine. I decided to put a bunch of ice in the reservoir and a small amount of water. Its blowing super cold now

So the fact that your humidity is already in the upper 40s means it won't work, you need to try this device in States like Utah and Arizona

Really comprehensive review, Mazurek. You should be awarded a monster cookie for this. I have a $200 dollar portable AC in my bedroom which is king, but I'm looking for cheaper options for the other room (I got two fans in the other room but they're meh). I don't think this unit will work for me.

I make a blanket fort with mine and it cools my entire body. You have to kinda so the blanket covers the half the fan is on the other side pulling in hot air from outside your blanket fort. XD

I paid 19 dollar for mine and it works great it will cool a room if it's has help meaning you will need to buy a small fan to help it out

I got one of theese for about 20$ from a chineese Store. It's not called arctic air but it is the same. I like it pretty much! I usually put it on my desk and it works fine when i'm doing my work.

U should freeze the filter. Don’t assume people are lazy and won’t freeze the filter. I just don’t think it’s an actual review if you don’t use it with the manufacturer recommended settings.
