Tsunami warning issued as major earthquake hits coast

BREAKING: a powerful 7.0 earthquake was recorded about 60 miles offshore of Ferndale, California, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Magnitude 7.0 and 5.8 earthquakes off the coast of Northern California have prompted a rare tsunami warning for coastal areas near the California-Oregon state line, including San Francisco Bay. The quakes have promoted a tsunami warning from Davenport to the California-Oregon border.

I thought this was happening now. I live in North California and 20 minutes away from Cobb. We were in San Francisco a couple of days ago. I saw a sign that if a tsunami happened to escape down a certain road right off the wharf. I don't ever remember seeing that sign before. I felt a small earthquake this morning and thought it was worse in the areas he mentioned.
Someone mentioned that they should pull this alert down after it happened, I agree. We're always getting earthquakes and need the most recent up to date information, not an event that happened a year ago. Earthquakes and tsunamis are serious business for us
