TC Electronic Cinders Vs Joyo Bright Day Overdrive

The Joyo Bright Day Overdrive JF-25 and the TC Electronic Cinders are both based off of the BOSS Blues Driver. The question that everyone is wondering is; how similar/different are they in terms of sound? Well, this is the video you were all looking for.

I'm going to go for Cinders. The Joyo one okay, but it sounds a bit, glassy. Does that make sense? As always, fantastic playing! Ta!

Nicely done; however, the sounds:pedals did not sync at some points on my Pad…🤷🏼‍♂️. They are two distinctly different sounding pedals as far as the knobs’ rotations are concerned … the TC, oddly enough seems to be a wee too tame compared to the Joyo . Thank you for your work.

Strange people prefer cinders. It sounds less like the BD2 and has noticeable treble and volume loss. Yeah it looks cooler but that’s about it unless you prefer a muddier tone that cannot be cleaned up. Easy to roll off highs, impossible to put them back in once they have been cut.

Has either of them been traced and confirmed they’re BD2 clones? And why was said original not in the shootout?

I thought the bright day or whatever was a take on the morning glory which is bluesbreaker based. I’ve heard that the cinders is a BD two type clone, but I haven’t seen the schematics. It does get really hard when you push it though sound a decent lower lower levels, but I think I enjoyed the joyo more.
