As an European, the fact that Americans step out of college with the burden of paying off mortgage-level amounts of money in debt blows my mind

Thanks for this amazing information !! If you don't find a means of multiplying money, you will wake up one day to realize that the money you thought you had, has finished. Investment is key, I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

I paid off my student loans a couple days ago and it still feels surreal! It requires so much discipline but the reward makes it so worth it! The feeling of knowing that all of my income will now be mine and I don’t owe anyone money is unmatched! 👏🏾👏🏾

That’s so freaking CUTE with the noodles and soup 🍜 thing. 🤣🤣🤣 TBH, I’m always jealous of people who have the opportunity to move back in with the ‘rents…appreciate them!

After divorce, the household income dropped by 2/3rds but I still had a ton of debt to pay off, both from before and during the divorce. I was grateful for people who gave hand me down clothing. I have a neighbor who tipped me $20 when I went grocery shopping. I saved everything I could, and like you, paid the debt off in chunks. Last summer, I wrote a check for the last $12000 I owed. It was magical!

Since then, I've graduated community college, debt free, gotten a much better paying job, and I'm about to get a new roof on my house. Paid in cash.

And don't tell the kids, but since they're so amazing, I've been saving enough to get them gaming laptops for Christmas! 🥰 100% budgeted for.

My university costs like $100 dollars a YEAR, and the most expensive one in my country costs like $2000 a year. Now I get why people in the US call College a scam, that's straight up theft lol.

Matt I'm in a similar position. 80k from college. Sophomore year I found you on YouTube, listened to the ground up show where you talked about the debt and you paying it off so fast. That became my sole goal after college and I'm now living with my parents working a remote job, working overtime and saving 90% of my income. I have a long way to go but very glad to have found your advice when I did

About two years ago I found myself $35, 000 in debt, majority credit cards. We were days away from filing bankruptcy when I just had this really strong feeling to push through it and intensely commit myself to paying it off. I cut all of our expenses to the bare bones minimum.

Our last payment is in about 10 days. We paid off $35, 000 in about 18 ish months. And we don’t get paid a ton but have decent jobs, the biggest thing was cutting our expenses and living on about half of what we make and commiting the rest to debt. It was worth the experience just for the lessons.

I can’t wait to buy my husband a second pair of jeans, or some furniture for our empty apartment 🤣

I was really tired of hearing about “sacrificing everything” when no one talked about the mental toll it would leave. So this was really good. I decided to move out of my parents this year after getting rid of 30k in debt for my mental sanity. It’s been going ok so far. I appreciate the video. Chunking definitely works too. Thanks again

The first video I watched of yours was one of your student loan videos and we had similar debt situations. It inspired me to take control of my debt that had been weighing me down for years. Now I’m 4 months away from paying it all of. I’m getting a bit burned out from the aggressive debt repayment and I’m so happy this video came out today. Thank you!!!!

I'm actually happy I stumbled onto your channel. I decided to go to community college and listen to your channel a lot when it came to financial independence. I cut everything out of my budget unless it is Spotify, Food and Gas. Now after almost 3 and a half years in college, I have absolutely no debt or student loans. Didn't care about what school my friends went to or where they were at. Patience is a virtue to what I have to sacrifice now. Totally worth the wait!

Having awkward conversations about upping rates would be stressful, but sounds like it's crucial to do. Good to hear your perspectives on this.
