Drill Press Digital Readout

DIY arduino drill press digital readout.
I didn't do a proper build video as it was kind of boring but it does use a 1024 step encoder instead of a digital caliper.
The decimal display in the negative had a leading zero for some reason but it doesn't effect the operation.
I hope to reuse this when I implement my new drill press.

Just ran across your Channel you're very talented individua.
l like the drill press DRO one heck of an idea.
I'm run an on old Walker Turner drill press with maybe a
.0625"+/- depth never thought of having a DRO on a drill press.
mill, lathes, grinders yes,
it would come in handy many times when I don't feel like firing up one of the Bridgeports
