New roads over the February lava. Now trucks, jeeps and other vehicles are driving across it. The Grindavik road (the smaller road section over the new lava) will be reopened to tourist traffic for Blue Lagoon in 3 days I heard. For now we are using Nesvegur road via Hafnr and the Bridge between continents. #BlueLagoon #Volcano #Iceland #Grindavik

The volcanic eruptions can't be stopped so they manage the lava and live with it. Incredible resilience

A very large and ongoing terraforming operation. Kudos to the Icelandic engineers and equipment operators for staying on top of a constantly and sometimes quickly changing circumstance.🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍

Thank you for the video. This little part of the road to the Blue Lagoon will be a tourist attraction in itself : driving over 1 month old lava, you don’t do that every day but only on the beautiful Iceland 😉.

That was amazing how they built the road so quickly. They haven’t messed around getting the infrastructure and pipelines sorted.
Thank you for the video and information.

Thank you for another fantastic video. We would not have seen the new pipes and road without you. I am grateful you are sharing these events in Iceland. Cannot wait to travel there.

Kudos Iceland... It takes our council months to fix a pothole in the road here whereas lava wiping out the whole road & you have it fixed in a week.

In central Oregon, there is a road called Willamette Pass. When settlers started coming in masses on the Oregon Trail, 1840’s, they broke down the lava beds of Newberry Crater. And made the road just big enough for a wagon. They also practiced walking on the lava in preparation for the moon landing
