I like how Bob ends up being questioned by BOTH teams AND Rob Brydon

"Do you know, I thought it was..."

Bob Mortimer is just the greatest. Whenever he tells a story, the wierder it gets, the more plausible it is.

Bob is the king of WILTY. Every story is more ridiculous than the last! and always true. wth! He tells his storys brilliantly tho.

I love the logic of 7 year old Bob Mortimer, I would have had the exact same.

If my mother had said "Don't go out", it wouldn't have occurred to me for a second that the outside existed after lighting the fireworks.

All the other rooms in my house were full of books and lined with carpet, except the tiled kitchen, plus my parents were obviously always cooking, with fire, there, so I would've considered it the most fireproof.

No idea how to use the phone at 7, so obviously go to the neighbors.

This was probably a very traumatic event for Bob, that probably had a big influence on his entire personality. It feels like it could be the "dark past behind the funny man", yet he is able to present it in a very light-hearted manner, which is impressive.

The pain in the voice when he says "and we were homeless" made me cry

I knew this was true for 2 reasons:
. The only place a 7 year old could buy fireworks unattended would be Middlesbrough
. The neighbour saying "D' you know, I thought it was." is one of the most boro things I've heard. XD
I'm sorry about his house though.

everytime I need some happiness in my life I watch this. It is such a sad story, yet the british comedieans manage to make it fun. They are sarcastic (in a fun way) yet they show respect. It is pretty amazing

You know what I realized, Bob Mortimer would be a fantastic GM (aka Dungeon Master). He tells fantastic stories, he's quick to improvise details, and he comes up with NPC names real quick.

The names that Bob mentions are always exactly half way between believable and ridiculous

Another classic Bob story. This guy is brilliant!

I know the whole thing is hilarious, but it really IS water damage that knackers a house. Fire damage can be contained and rebuilt, but water damage can get WAY further into the house than fire does.

Bob is near impossible. What ludicrous situation would you have to create that is more ludicrous than his young life?
"We do beg your pardon..."

“And now don’t you feel stupid for saying standard fireworks”
“Not really!”

You know what I want to see; i want to see Bob Mortimer and Greg Davies on the same team. And if on that day, i dont die laughing, you have my permission to kill me.

I was very surprised that nobody but Bob had ever heard of Standard Fireworks. There was a time when they were THE NAME in fireworks and leading up to November 5th every second advert was the jingle "Please to remember the 5th of November - light up the sky with Standard Fireworks".
