2023 Best Singleplayer Settings for Ark: Survival Evolved

Whether you are just starting out or have been playing Ark for years, these settings are the ones I use and highly recommend in 2023 as we get closer to the sunsetting of the official servers..

Honestly the only setting I would recommend people to change is the weight setting because caring that stuff back and forth can be mind numbing

Something I like to change is the baby food multiplier, having fast babies is more quality of life for solo, having to play nearly 4 days of PLAYTIME like 3 hours a day is crazy, NOT changing the food drain I dont think people think about, but it makes something like wyvern babies super easy to get, or anything else like that, normally you have to go through the process of sleeping a wyvern, nabbing milk then raising a kid, without changing the drain, you can just nab an egg and run like hell and the kids fine now. completely skipping a key point in getting a dragon, able to raise a dragon at pteradon level rather than like 60+ or whenever the sleep darts are unlocked, So making the drain high enough to where they still need to eat, and eat a good bit, but not where you dont gotta feed babies

In "singleplayer setting" Dinos get a bit of a bonus to health per level and huge bonus to overall damage the moment they are tamed, increasing it by like 30 to 50% making the game far too easy,
it created a common misconception that Bosses are weak in this mode, but it is not true at all, I lowered the stat gain of my dinos to official and Bosses are as they should be, even tested it by disabling the setting and managed to beat Alpha Broodmother with simmilar effectivnes, she did about 20000 dmg to a dino with 100 armor and 30000 to 80.armor in both fights.

Stats per level
Damage 0.106
Add per level
Damage 0.04
Affinity
Damage 0.194
When it comes breeding, last time I used 1.4 maturation and imprint interval at 0.1, it is possible that 0.4 maturation is better but I can't remember right now. It is fast because I don't like to sit for hours, but 1.4 worked for most dinos. 0.1 imprint time is about 8 min per imprint, works pretty well for smaller dinos but it is an effort for bigger ones. You may want to lower it for otters as they grow too fast. Seriously just change both settings often and you will eventually find your sweet spot, you can go back to menu and change it before baby matures to ensure 100% if you have to.

Thanks for the tips. I don't have time to wait for taming or breeding so my rates are definitely turned up on that. I love single player. I can go at my own pace. I used to have a pve tribe. On playstation now I'm Xbox. And been single player since. Thank you for all the videos. Definitely helps and every now and then I love red text. 😂

Anyone else's fuel consumption rate just randomly changing? I could swear it started at 1 but changed to 1.6, then to 1.88, and 2.11

I am about to download this game and intend on only playing solo /pve ... is this the type of game i can stay on 1 map and build a huge base and just do the grind of farming /harvesting and surviving? Or is there certain quests and missions i must complete to do certain things? And whats the best map for a guy who just likes to casual play / grind / mess around on a vast open world solo?

I play single player because of years of fail multiplayer experiences, since Ultima Online! There's good things, but the toxicity is overwhelming...
So I like fun. I like not doing everything professionally, calculated, mathematically exact.
I also called my nephew to play alongside me. He can use split screen or he plays on his PS4. For it it's good to have friendly fire OFF among other settings.

I set my tame speed to what he said and spent an hour so far just waiting to tame a damn raptor pretty pissed not going to lie I'd alter the tame speed if your short on time
