Tyrannosaurus: "IT'S ALWAYS BULKING SEASON!"

The reason why the V rex was hunting Ann instead of eating the Foetodon corpse/Killing Kong was not a sign of low intelligence. The species of Kong and V rex actively tried to kill each others ofsprings to reduce potential competition.

That long war of attrition and diseases lead to Kong being the last of his kind. The V rex just reproduced at a higher rate than the Kongs.

So when they saw Ann they saw a small Kong not a human. Thats why they focused her.

Although not as skilled or intellectually developmental as an opponent such as Kong, Vastatosaurus Rexes are not mindless when it comes to both basic thought and combat. Even when one was primarily trying to go after prey for means of sustenance in the middle of a battle, it instead focused on latching onto King Kong's foot to apply extra weight to bring him down. While tangled in vines, another Vastatosaurus was capable of learning how to swing back and forth immediately after watching Anna swung herself to safety while in an equally helpless position. Similarly, a nearby Vastatosaurus replicated this same maneuver as a means of successfully sneak attacking Kong. When Kong attempted to break one's jaw, they were capable of realizing the intended result of the attack and attempting to kick away his arm in hopes of escaping, albeit failing.

I only love the original Rex more as time goes on. The more we learn about Rex the more powerful it becomes and even juvenile Rexs were probably absolute nightmare fuel

The V-Rex's interlocking teeth is likely for helping to bite and hold without releasing.

Something else to add, V.rex is even shorter than this. Based on the 50 foot maximum length, a large V.rex's hip height is ~15 feet tall or 5 meters. Compared to the ~13 foot T.rex, this brings the two much closer in range.

Personally, I wouldn't label bulk as the same thing as having armor (it helps especially with the thick hide, but it's not the same). Even though Stan survived those gnarly injuries to the neck and brain casing, there's no way Stan would be like "tis but a flesh wound" and could've realistically survived if he didn't concede the fight, or if the other T. Rex decided to kill him out right. For example, if the V. Rex was able to land a solid bite on the T. Rex, let's say the leg, even though it's bite force is much weaker the T. Rex would still be hurting a lot because it has to support half of it's weight on injured leg. Edit: And when it takes a step, said injured leg has to carry the entirety of the weight.

This also why I think that even large Carcharodontosaurids can deal some serious hits to a T. Rex despite not being as heavily built: their adaptions allow them to tear out chunks of flesh and inflict serious blood loss with alarmingly rapid bites. Of course, that's IF it ever comes to that. I imagine most theropod fights will start with each side trying to control each other's jaws by face biting, a competition Tyrannosaurus is almost certainly always going to win.

If there's a brand new tyrannosauroid, it should be named after the fictional dinosaur.

It's like the T. rex would have its average neighborhood fights except its opponent is a severely inbred pug version of its species.

This is effectively the equivalent of putting a Spartan Hoplite against an Alabaman and having them box.

oh, and by the way. in the skull island novel/art book.

V-rex are mentioned as having a bite so strong it shatters/pulverizes bones. There is even a lot of focus on its powerful jaw, followed by a very direct comparison with a real Rex and its "evolutionary superiority" (which depending on the context this can point to more than one thing)

The V-rex has nothing to envy the T-rex in terms of bite.

(although there is also a mention of the V-rex having a bite force 2 times greater than a T-rex, I honestly don't know if it is true or not)

V-Rex is an evolved T-Rex, and that says it all.

The V Rex weighs more than any real life T Rex specimen, at 16 tons

I mean it makes sense. I remember something about like if another theropod fought a T rex, it'll feel like fighting a brick wall because T rex are just so goddamn bulky and sturdy

This was an excellent video! Although I personally think the V-Rex would win I can't really argue with your case on the Tyrannosaurus except with Kong scaling when he destroyed the theater being somewhat comparable and the V-Rex most likely hunted Ann due to her having Kong's scent and thus they thought she was a baby Kong. But a main issue is the fact that were using the inbred ones to go against a presumably healthy T.Rex, but overall this was a marvelous video and I loved every second watching it! Can't wait for future vids! 💜
