This Lexus LFA button placement SUCKS!

Because they weren’t putting that as a “show off button”, but inspection button.
That’s an automated rear spoiler. If you have any sign of class, you would leave it to do it’s work, not raising it at stoplight.
Button is in a good position to check the functionality of the wing while doing checks or maintenance, because you’re standing outside and have a direct view of the wing while pressing it.

If you surgically remove your shoulder blade, you should have no problem contorting your body so you can click that while in the drivers seat

Lexus purposely hid the button cause they knew people would be using it to make the car’s design worst when daily driving. (Or as they intended)…

The LFA was designed to be the touring Supercar, with a luxury focus rather than all out speed, despite it still reaching a speed of 202 mph.

If not.mistaken the spoiler is deployed autmatically as speed increase.

The override button is for showing off

Isn't that button just to override the auto raise so you can reach top speed in a straight line only. You leave it alone if you want to go around a corner.

It's not hiding it, it was left there because they forgot to move it to the driver's side when they made the right hand drive models

Probably because this button is to put the spoiler in service mode and not to be used randomly, these hydraulic actuators normally don't like to spend a lot of time uplifted with the car not moving.

It’s for maintenance purposes, the spoiler deploy automatically at a certain speed.

Maybe it's an override switch intended to be used when washing the car so you can clean the underspoiler?

No Carwow! The position of the switch is perfect! The owner decides before getting in where the wing should be or the car itself. And not within easy reach to make a show😉
