We have reached another Milestone at Manderscheid Media. 200 Videos! It seems only fitting to present to you this rare convertible. This is the first one I have seen in person. The projects keep coming in the ABT shop at Saskpolytechnic main campus in Saskatoon. This special unit is a mega rare, mega valuable piece of iron. It is a 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. You'll see in this introduction it is in need of some help, but the students are ready to roll. Enjoy!

Amazing, I will be following this resto. I’m doing a 1959 el Camino myself here in SoCal. Just an FYI replacement quarter panels are NO longer being made and even then it was only lower halves. Your best bet will be to get a parts car bel air plus the GM 1959 welders manual so you can find the welding sections. Still being made however is the toe board to the rear seat pan plus the trunk pan & outer and inner rockers but that’s it! Oh and the floor braces. Also the color is called Cameo Coral and it was a rare color for 1959 impala.

I don’t think that car was Cameo Coral. It looks like Gothic Gold to me. The trim tag on the firewall will have the paint code.
