Hello everyone! I've been on retreat for a few days last week hence the lack of videos. I actually wasn't going to upload this one because I feel like it's choppy and just didn't like how it was filmed. But I think this method works so well and I have some good tips so hopefully you guys will still enjoy it!

Disclaimer: In the video I referred to "my method." By that I do not mean I came up with this whole procedure by myself, I'm referring more to my personal tips that I give. With the method that I use, the only waiting time is for the wax to freeze, and everything else can be done within 30 minutes, so it's super fast compared to other ways that include boiling and etc.

My video explaining ebates!

Total time: 2.5 - 3 hours

Step by step instructions:
1. Place the candle jar(s) in the freezer. I left them in there for about 2.5 hours, but I would say at least 2 hours and no more than 3. I have left them in for longer before and the results are not as good.

2. After you take the jar(s) out there should already be a rim around the wax b/c it has shrunk. Use a knife (be safe!) and try to loosen the rim WITHOUT BREAKING THE WAX. You want to get the wax out in one piece so that there is minimal glue residue from the candle wicks. TIP: If you have a candle/wax warmer, save the wax and continue to use it so you don't have to waste anything!

3. Use a dry tissue/paper towel to wipe all the wax remains in the jar so that there are no big pieces of wax when you go rinse it in the sink.

4. Remove the front label. This should be really easy and should not leave any residue behind. If there is, use the same method as noted in Step 7 to remove it.

5. Remove the bottom description label. This is usually harder and will leave glue residue. Try your best to use you hands, credit card, or other tools to remove all the paper. If there are some that you cannot remove, see Step 7.

6. Use a METAL scrubber to scrub the inside and outside of the jar(s) with just water. Getting a metal scrubber is key because a sponge will not be able to do the same thing.

7. If there's still residue on the jar, use a cooking spray to coat both the inside and outside of the jar(s). If you don't have a spray, just regular oil is fine. I don't think it matters what kind you use. scrub with the metal scrubber, the oil should make it really easy for the glue to come off.

8. After all the residue is removed and the jar(s) is completely clean, use a generous amount of dish soap and lather to remove all the grease from oil.

9. Dry the jar(s) and you're finished! Use the beautiful jars for storage or anything else!
