Video Transcript:
Xbox Game Pass for PC was rolled out in mid-2019, and gives PC gamers access to a library of more than a hundred games they can install and play at any time for a low monthly cost. However, the Xbox Game Pass for PC games can start to eat up valuable real estate on your computer's hard drive. If you need to free up space, you can uninstall games you no longer play relatively quickly.

Now let's walk through the steps to uninstall Xbox Game Pass for PC games from your computer.

Step 1. Click the Windows "Start" menu icon to open the Start menu. Locate the Xbox app in the list, and then click to launch the "Xbox" app. Your Xbox Game Pass for PC home screen appears.

Step 2. Click the right-pointing arrow icon at the bottom of the menu on the left side of the screen to expand the list of installed games so you can see the game names.

Step 3. Right-click the game you want to uninstall. A context menu appears.

Step 4. Click "Uninstall Game." A menu appears asking if you're sure you want to uninstall this game. Click "Yes" in this menu. After a few seconds, the game will be removed from the list of installed games on the left side of the screen.

Step Six, realize the space wasn't actually freed from your hard drive, search for answers and find this video for toddlers that shows nothing of value.

I'm not looking to remove the games, I want to uninstall the whole app can anyone help? I have the games pass app and the console companion app and receive notifications through both which gets really annoying, I want to keep the companion app and not the games pass app. I can't find a way to uninstall it through the app it's self probably intentional by Microsoft I'm sure.

This does not actually delete the game off of your hard drive. It only removes it from the list. The space the game took up on my HDD is still being used up by the game even after "uninstalling" it.

I have uninstalled the game but it didn't free up my space. What should I do

I think the best way is to install the game pass on a separate drive or partition so that if you want to remove them, you can just simply reformat.

Guys I found a solution for windows users, to actually uninstall the game and delete it completely, go to your Settings, System, Storage. It should be in one of those areas and easy to find if you organise the apps by size, make sure you are on the administrator account during the process.

Thanks.
This shouldn't have been so complicated that I had to look it up. Sigh.
Edit: Oh great, they files just get sent to a file named Deleted and they're still there. And I don't have permission to delete them!?

THANK YOU!!! You sir are a great hero in my eyes lol.. This saved my life! I kept using the Xbox Companion App or whatever and I was lost 🤦🏼‍♂️. This video showed me to find and use the Xbox App! I shouldn’t have had so much trouble lol I’m only 33 years old, not 89. A 89 year old probably could of figured it out quicker then I did 😂I uninstalled one of the games through the PC settings like you would do on an app before I saw this also! I hope I didn’t mess anything up doing it that way! This video saved my life and my time!
Thank you! I’m subscribing to you because your awesome!!! 😂

Wtf is this manipulation of language. Uninstall means it gets deleted from my hard drive which this doesnt do.

Absolutely hate it. The game files are way too big. For example, installed Ark Survival Evolved, the download was way over 70gb, and on steam its only about 25gb. Absolutely ridiculous, why does it need so much hard drive space just to install one game? My advice is get your games off steam, at least steam won’t eat up your hard drive space.

I have over 100GB of games from Game Pass still saved on my external hard drive in several folders.
-The games do not appear in Settings/Apps so I can't uninstall.
-The games do not appear in Control Panel add/remove so I can' uninstall.
-This method you just showed reveals nothing. The games are not there.

I am just going to delete the folders. For the largest software company in the world, you do a crappy job with software, Microsoft.
