King Yellowman is the king of reggae... First of all he is an Albino, and he was criticized because of this when he was young. Second, he has cancer and, in 1980 doctors said him that he will die in three years. Third, he removed his chin in order to live. Now, he is almost 60 years old and he is still singing and hopping around the stage! You are the best, Yellowman!

I stumbled upon Yellowman at the 1982 World Music Festival in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I was instantly mesmerized and have been a fan ever since. His band members are real pros. I am really impressed with the guitarist who downplays his ability except during the warmup prior to King Yellow coming on stage. This man is a survivor and we can all humbly take a lesson from him.

One of the greats. His energy on stage is unmatched. Pray I can see him again live one day. I saw a number of his shows in Virginia Beach at Club Peabody's in the late 90s, truly amazing. Bless King Yellow!
