I'm so confused why one of his biggest complaints is that you need an oven mitt to pull the toast out of the oven. It's an OVEN. Name one oven that you pull things out of without using an oven mitt. It is not a toaster. It's an oven that can toast your food.

As to the carrots and broccoli - carrots always take longer to cook than broccoli. Put the carrots in first and cook em, then add broccoli towards the end.

All "Bagel" settings are set to toast only one side...if you want to toast both sides use regular toast settings. This is true of all toasters with a Bagel setting.

I have one and absolutely love it. I have never had burned bagels and everything has come out wonderful so far. My old air fryer/toaster oven didn’t give anything that crisp you get from deep frying, this does. I also really like the smart finish option.

I have this new model. I also have the original SmartXL Pro AirFry oven. While I certainly miss the open inner space of the SmartXL, I must say having the double oven has come in quite handy. I agree the Top oven is rather short in height. Had Ninja made this device 1.5 to 2.0 inches taller and incorporated that in the Top and Bottom ovens… I digress. Fact is, this device AirFries perfectly; the Convection Bake function (Bottom) is great as well. I prefer the Conv Bake (Bottom) over the Bake (Top). There is a noticeable difference time wise imo. The Bottom is very easy to clean. Everything I have tried has turned out well. Having the option to cook using two completely different functions is very useful. I feel Ninja should have made both doors independently open; however, since there is no auto-pause when the full door opens, there is really no substantial heat loss from the Top oven while checking on the Bottom. I just ran two 1:2 (1 slice; Shade 2) back to back. The first slice turned out just the way I like. The second slice turned out darker than the first in a shorter amount of time as oven was already hot. I do suggest purchasing an extra crumb tray and just place both in the oven (Top and Bottom). There’s also a 12x12x2 nonstick baking pan accessory that is quite nice; quite roomy.

I think the crumb tray goes in the upper oven. And, put one of the included sheet pans in the lower oven under the air fryer basket to catch the drippings.

On the pizza if you read the package it says to put it on the rack. Not a pan unless you want soft crust.

If you press the stop start button, it pauses the cooking if the timer isn't run out, then you can start where you left off after put it back in the oven.

Thanks for your honest review. We feel the same about this product. Many negatives.

1. Too overpriced!
2. Bottom door should have independent handle for opening.
3. Slanted door because the handle is too thick!
4. Only one crumb tray is dumb, Should come with 2 crumb trays.

This certainly helped. I struggle in my kitchen not having two ovens. I have the standard sized gas oven but it takes 4x as long to preheat so the idea of having a smaller double oven is attractive so the insight was helpful.

Power off the oven to reset the toast setting. The oven assumes you want a little more doneness on your bagel or toast. They should have a reset button to override it. Also, I recommend pulling out the crumb tray and covering it with foil (wrap it).
As with every new product, there are always pros and cons. One note, you’re supposed to cut pillsbury cookies into quarters (or triangles)…🤣 One more thing…set your probe 5-8 degrees lower than your target temperature to allow for carryover cooking. That’s probably your temperature discrepancy.
As far as the “design flaw” door handle is concerned…if you’re placing it on a deep set countertop, just place it atop a cutting board to raise it a little.

Does it have a manual time setting for toast? 😢

I purchased mine here in the states, it was $329. Mine works well and I have no problem at all with toast and I make toast a lot. As for the probe, I never use any probe other than my Meater wireless probe which is always perfect so I don't even use the Ninja probe. As far as the door, I don't see the problem. The door when open, clears my counter just like my old one did so that's not an issue. True, I wouldn't pay $500 for this, but I don't think I would ever pay $500 on any toaster oven. I like the fact that when I'm making my toast I only have to use the top and it uses much less power that way and doesn't dirty the rest. Also, it makes toast really well and quick, so I don't know what happened in this demo.

Great review, thank you for you efforts in making this ! Appreciated the realness of the content and for you spending your time and hard earned money on this product to test it for us. Right now it's $280 bucks so we're considering one for our kitchen!

Did you noticed a loud fan noise when it’s cooling down? Don’t know if it’s normal

If you read the instructions it clearly states the bagel goes bottom side down. Also you have the crumb tray on the bottom oven, which should be on the top when using the top oven.

I work in a kitchen. Frozen shoestring fries should be at 400F (20minutes with a pre heated oven).
