I'm about 5'8-10" 200lbs, and I had an xxl but will be getting an 3xl, for my climate I've never had any issues with the jacket. for me the liner came undone inside the arm but I have to get a new one because of an accident but it saved me from road rash. CE pads are definitely great for the impact, for rain definitely need a top cover, but rain for a light jacket it's great. I enjoyed the jacket, most of the time I didn't have the liner in. However that being said I want to try to get the leather jacket that Viking Cycle makes.

if you're getting this jacket and you're concerned about the spine plate, I'd try to get a replacement out of the box, but the same stock one I had in the accident helped.
