Grant Gustin being ignored in The Flash movie is made worse by DC's shoddy justification for the actor's absence. After nine seasons, Gustin has become synonymous with The Flash, and fans are clamoring for him to play a leading part in Ezra Miller's next solo film.
The multiverse theme of The Flash's plot makes it simple for Gustin and Miller to share the screen as their respective portrayals of The Flash, as they have already done in a related adventure during the Crisis on Infinite Earths Arrowverse crossover event.
Gustin did however reveal that he isn't in The Flash, and the film's director has given a justification.
