Adani Row: Kenya Cancels Airport, Power Deals After US Indictment | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Indian tycoon Gautam Adani, one of the world’s richest individuals, faces charges of fraud by US prosecutors. The allegations include $250 million in bribes to Indian officials to secure solar energy contracts for Adani Green Energy. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a parallel civil case, accusing Adani’s firm of misleading US investors to raise $175 million. Adani Group denies the allegations, calling them "baseless," and promises to pursue legal remedies.  Earlier today, Kenya cancelled airport and power deals with the Indian conglomerate.

All these things happened within India, so the jurisdiction is with the Indian Court. The US prosecutors should have filed the lawsuit in India, not in US. Indian govt should condemn such lawsuit as overreaching.
