The Leatherman curl, (a first look and performance test)

This video demonstrates my opinion on the leatherman curl. What/who is it for, is it worth it, etc.

Not that this isn’t actually my first look, as the footage to my first recording of this video was lost.

I agree with you that Leatherman achieved their goal rather well with that curl. I like it. I will probably get one as I have 2 waves, 2 fuse, kick, rebar, pst, wingman, micra, charge ti, blast. My current edc as a mechanic is the fuse. It is perfect for edc. My favorite Leatherman is the 2nd gen. Wave, but it is a little heavy for my edc. Great review, thanks

That cutters on my wave were like that glad they are removable just added .002” shim stock under it now it’s perfect

The Curl and the Crunch are going to be my first Leatherman’s. I could’ve gotten the Wave+ but I won’t need the saw, serrated blade, and eyeglasses driver. I believe it is probably the best modern equivalent to the original PST’s excluding the bond. A 3d driver would’ve been nice because I’d imagine the target consumer of these wouldn’t want to carry the extra bits. The replaceable wire cutters aren’t a big sell for me on a light duty tool catch all tool like these because I wouldn’t even try to cut nails or whatever people are doing that warrants replacing them so often. A multi tool can help you a lot in a pinch but it’s still limited and I’d rather walk 10 feet to a tool I have than break my leatherman just to do something small in the long run. I’ll likely get the Supertool 300M. This is just the start. I thought you brought up some good points though and I also thought you put more use into that tool than most ever will really. Keep up the good work and don’t worry so much about your camera angles you’ll get the hang of it!
