HANDS-ON with the New 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning - First Look

Ford recently announced the 2022 F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck, and while it's not quite on sale yet, we were invited to check out a pre-production 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat in Washington, DC. The 2022 F-150 Lightning is a fully-electric pickup truck that produces 775 lb-ft of torque and up to 563 horsepower, with either 230 miles (Standard range) or 300 miles (Extended range) of driving on a charge.

Maximum charging speed is 150 kW, so you can charge from 10% to 80% in just under 40 minutes. The 2022 F-150 Lightning is rated to tow up to 10,000 pounds or carry up to 2,000 pounds of payload depending on how it's equipped.

I guess I will sell my RAM and get this one, if it will be available for an affordable price in Germany. Even I like the interior much more in the actual RAM. But I don't want to burn fossil anymore. And unfortunately it will take a few years until the fully electric RAM will be available.

Just take out the gas engine and throw in an electric system? Sounds like that is real optimized. Should be designed from ground up as an electric vehicle.
