height presets would be a good way for EA to incorporate height differences in the future without having to fully redo the animations for every possible height. It seems like it would be easier to have variations of the same animation for a few different heights than trying to make the animation scale to any possible height in that way. Hoping for some good stuff in the future!

When rigging a character, you can define specific points where the characters will "glue" their hands to during certain animations. That's probably the reason why hugging and caressing their cheeks works well, because the shoulders and the cheeks are those defined points! :)

Honestly if they did do height sliders officially, it’d be so funny if sims could do height-specific interactions, because that would make some really funny and more realistic interactions.

i’ve always wanted preteens because of the HUGE jump from child to teen and of course the lack of height change from teens to adults

for anyone who wants pre-teens, the pre teen mod is AMAZING!! It makes preteens shorter and makes them go to middle school (: they also go through different puberty centered situations

I do hope Sims 5 adds height sliders. I think it would make a world of difference. Luumia is a very creative modder. Their body hair mod is amazing.

There is an automatic shorter teens mod on mod the sims that makes the teens automatically shorter than YA and A sims. You can also choose between two heights so they can be a little shorter and even shorter. And animations are fine because all teens are the same height and there isn’t clipping with adult sims either.

HIGHLY agree with your point about preteens. We really just need a teen overhaul tbh. In Sims 5 I'd really like to see something similar to gradual aging for teens? "Teen" kinda covers alot of ground, so maybe as you progress through the teen lifestage their height and interaction options could change? For the latter is imagine it'd be similar to how toddlers interactions change based on their skills.

I love how in so many of the mod videos, Kayla already has the game open and needs to close it first. I know she's probably just trying to info you you need to close your game first, but I love the idea that she just literally never stops playing lol

this is something that i really wanted. like you said we arent all the same size. im 6'4 so naturally i am taller than "most" people so when i play games that allow me to create myself i want to make my character taller. it adds to the immersion.

I’d honestly prefer a teens refresh over the babies refresh. I (wrongly) theorized that because we had such a long gap of packs before High School Years that this must have meant they were doing a teen overhaul and they would finally look different, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I’m still optimistic though

I used to play w height sliders but it can make some interactions look awkward if the sims are too tall or too short :/ like when they kiss other sims or interact w certain objects it looks glitchy lol

I agree I think it sound better updating the kids and teens rather than adding pre teens. I relation to the height slider I'm still a bit concerned abuot the caress cheek-animation if it was the lower person caressing the taller person's cheek - it might be that the lower person would stick their hand into the taller persons chest or something 😅 but all in all like you I wouldn't mind some wierd looking animations, it's still a nice feature, that I might try out when I play some more 😊 Thanks for your rambling content, I love the autenticity, don't ever change ✨✨💛💛
