WHERE TO START READING X-MEN 📚💪 #shorts

Where should you start reading X-men comics? Check out this short to see my list!

Marvel Comics' Merry mutants are a staple for the Marvel Universe, but sometimes it can be a chore trying to decide where to jump in to these Uncanny X-men books!

I always recommend starting with Chris Claremont's run on Uncanny X-men, the omnibus is always a fun edition if you can grab a copy! For a more modern start Jonathan Hickman's House of X / Powers of X has become an instant favorite of mine!

I know Morrison’s run is also a great place to start and if you count it Wolverine and the X-Men :)

New X Men by Morrison too it introduced a lot of crucial things in mutant and x men history plus its just a really good comic

The only 2 places I would recommend a brand new fan to start would be either Claremont or Morrison.

Also X-men first class is a great introduction to the OG5, Jean is much more interesting in that then when Stan wrote her in the early issues.

X-Men Epic Collections 5-10

They collect some of the best X-Men stories and comic book stories of all time

Lee and Kirby's run hasn't aged as well as the better Marvel silver age runs (FF, Spidey, Thor) but it is still worth a read.

So do we just skip all of the silver age? I know many who think that the seminal issues aren't worth reading today, but if not for those then none of the other stories thereafter would have come to fruition.
I'm currently reading the silver age and not only enjoying it but also loving the artwork of Jack Kirby.
