Wish I could trust my local ford garage to do this by the book. They certainly know how to charge for it! What I like about this tutorial, is that it's real world for most people. Not everyone has lifts. Great job guys.

Great video. My turbo diesel 2013 Mondeo's gearbox broke at just 44K miles. Everyone gave me piece of mind that Ford's and VW group's DCTs are rubbish and that I should has stayed away.
At that point, I learnt that the oil needs changing at 30K miles, which I wish my Ford authorised service centre recommended and did for me.
Costed me a bomb to get gearbox reconditioned, and I hope that it lasts me for good few years.

You should always loosen the fill bolts first. Just to know they're free. In case something goes wrong with them, you don't end up with a dry gearbox unable to move the car.

43 NM for the plug/screws and 15Nm forvthr filter housing and You should fill up the filter housing with approx 0.1l of oil/fluid before screwing it on.

Great video, i’ve just changed the oil & filter on my Volvo powershift that was 40k overdue, the oil that came out was really clean, thought it would have been dirty to be honest
