lmfao I absolutely love razer but good price to performance?!?! Nah there's plenty of other brands out there with cheaper laptops that perform just as well with the added bonus of more than a 512GB SSD. Don't get me wrong the finish with the CNC is beautiful and feels as premium as they go but its definitely overpriced imo

Love the video. For using these away from a desk I use a chopping board. Light, fits the size exactly, fits in the laptop bag with no issues and keeps the vents free on my lap.

You shouldn’t have to apologize for anything. If you don’t like it, it’s ok to make fun and nobody should complain

You can use WDS, depending on the speed of your LAN/USB/laptop drive, you can go from selecting the boot device, to having a working desktop in as little as 5 minutes. We average 10 minutes with ryzen 7 4750u laptops cheap USB imaging drives, and slow NMVe drives, no time difference between ryzen and intel computers as the drives are the limiting factor, i would imagine AMD would win if the drives were faster.
I use SCCM/MECM which is just an all encompasing enterprise solution sitting on top of tools like WDS
With WDS you can create windows install media that bypasses the out of box experience, and skips the 'this may take several minutes' screen,
Also, as long as the programs you want can be installed using powershell, or command line/bat, WDS can even pre-install programs you want to use
You can even have it set up to create local users/passwords and set the desktop/lock screen background

I just got the Base 2021 with QHD 165hz and a 3070. I love the thing. It's amazing.

Definitely not much of an upgrade at all, but I bought the last year model a couple months ago and honestly, if you really feel you need the difference in performance between this year and last, you should probably just get a different laptop (like a 17” workstation machine).

The selling point here is the absurdly nice build quality. Aluminum block laptops are just so much nicer to hold and use than the plastic stuff like the asus m14 and m15. On paper it’s a very hard call, but when you touch them... you’ll know. This thing is just a joy to behold.

Agreed: Ryzen. The minute you said Intel, I checked out.

Everyone's complaining about him saying it has great price to performance. This man has come from using apple products ladies and gentleman. When you get a premium feeling windows laptop for the price of a macbook with that extra added bonus of a great GPU, that's what he's talking about. Compared to Macbooks, you get a great price to performance

I have just purchased a new, Razer advanced (QHD)3060 model. It is a great machine. Looks and plays great. Couldn’t be happier!

K so it’s razer blade 2020 + Rtx 3060? That’s it? No other upgrades? I hope there will be a second version with other things.

I have the 2020 and when upgrading the SSD, I didn’t find too many videos on how to do so and what specific SSD it needed (SATA vs NVMe) that I ended up buying a SATA as that’s what the 2019 had.

I’d like to upgrade RAM too and would love to see how to do so and which RAMs are recommended.

Keep up the amazing videos!

Great video as always! You make me smile and do that learnin' stuff thing at the same time! You mentioned about the Max-Q, I'm not sure if you were following the kerfuffle, but NVidia have scrapped that branding now. They keep it as the name of a "technology" but they no longer put it on the name of the card. Instead they just call the card "3060/3070/3080 laptop GPU" but the cards/chips support a certain amount of wattage, which depends on what the laptop manufacturer wants to support. In the case of the 3060, I believe the lowest powered versions will be 60W, and the highest 115W, but with a possible 15W boost due to "Dynamic boost 2.0". The 3060 in yours, if it says 95W, that probably means 80W with a dynamic boost possible of an extra 15W, which puts it somewhere in the middle of that wattage pack. Somewhere between what would previously have been called a Max-Q and a Max-P. I think that's pretty good for a thin-and-light. If you want more power, you have to get something thicker like the Asus Strix G17 you reviewed. IMO it's really misleading for NVidia to drop the "Max-Q" labeling without requiring the manufacturers to be upfront. NVidia have "encouraged" the manufacturer to publish the wattage of the graphics in their machines, but are not requiring or enforcing it. The result being that a consumer will just see 3060 or 3070 or 3080 without having any idea if they are buying a 60W, 80W, 130W whatever graphics chip. Really really dishonest IMO. Unfortunately for the consumer (but fortunately for reviewers!!) it means reviews like yours have never been more important, as it may be the only way a consumer can find out what they are actually buying, before they buy it! Really bad situation for consumers IMO, so a huge thank you to you and all the other reviewers out there! "Help me, TEDD, you're my only hope!"

I also wish it was all black, without the neon green logo. Great unboxing, btw!
