Albania is helping out italy with this enormous task. Let people criticize. Danger? Are you crazy these people r showing up on canoes and then going to albania on world class boats. no one is gunna make albania their destination. Albanian sites still run by italians will be processing people much faster than in southern italy. also it could help pump some economic life into areas that wouldnt have had it. Albania is not slimy they see this as humane. lets see it through. 35000 a year is small amount for what italy deals with and again 28 days as opposed to months or years to be processed for status is a huge W. i dont see the difference between moving people from province to province in italy than to albania. moreover if the ideal destination is ELSEWHERE in europe who cares where the processing is from- as long as it is just, humane, in good faith, and procedurally in line with guidelines of eu etc. there are too many people to process in the south its not fair to ppl migrants, citizens, workers, all of them. this will prioritize people who r legit claimants of urgency to be in their peace fast as possible. italy has nothing to gain here they are front the cost. they want to be proactive and get some order here. they need help and are willing to pay for it. have a heart. everyone wins if things become more organized and smooth. especially migrants. some of these migrants are in limbo. stuck in a camp for what seems like an eternity. its not fair to anyone. the process is just exhausted and spread to thin. lets get proactive and try new things.
