It remains to be seen if James Gunn's DCU can bring back DC as Marvel's main competition. I think WB is hoping that Superman (2025) makes more than Man of Steel. It certainly has to, WB can't rely on Battinson's standalone universe forever.

I sure hope there isn't a large gap between Superman movies but if we're going by the confirmed list of projects, there's a lot of other projects that need to get off the ground, then you've got the rumored and likely projects. I feel like there will be at least one other project he directs before moving onto Superman 2, and I feel like that project could be the Authority, since it seems like that movie or at least elements of it are being setup in Superman.

You are forgetting that the first chapter in the dcu will only have 8 movies and 8 shows. So there will be no more superman movies in chapter 1. Maybe in chapter 2 but that is years away.

I think it would be the Authority, it's definitely not batman bcs they are already working on a batman movie and it would be better to wait, paradise lost didn't sound like something he wanna do himself, swamp thing would probably be the last movie between the movies that were revealed last, and if their was a superman sequel i think it would be announced by now.
He said that he's very excited to work on the Authority and honestly it sounds like something that would fit him more. it's a team of obscure characters with twisted morels.
what I'm most interested about is what the age rating for this movie is gonna be

Also about the time gap between each movie and it's sequel, i think in a cinematic universe we can have a bigger gap than just 3 years, i think what the mcu did wrong is that they used all their bigger characters sequels (except for spiderman) in the first 10 years of the mcu which caused phase 4 and 5 do feel empty. I think i'm okay with a 6 years gap between each sequel specially if the character will appear in other movies, which i think superman would do in movies like the Authority.
