Suddenly I feel relieved that I haven’t been able to afford to get my hair braided

I watched a short about braiding hair and bought plant based hair. It didn’t cause itching like the synthetic hair.
- Rebundle is a good plant based hair extension brand. They make the hair from banana branches.

This reminds me of what happened with baby powder and hair relaxers.

The problem is either a cancer or sugar in everything.

It's never too late to start your loc journey, friends! I'm going to be loc'd 5 years this April, and the budding phase seems like a blip in time compared to the rest of my loc journey. I installed my locs myself so I can maintain them myself. No cancelled appointments, no shady deposit scams, no in-home braiders being interrupted by their small kiddos. Just me, doing my own hair when I feel like it.

Idk it’s not like our actual hair is so fragile that we cannot go without toxic extensions. The styles we mimic were originally done on our real hair (throughout history). If we take care of our natural hair, I don’t see why we’d feel the need to depend on fake hair or imported human hair. 🤷🏾‍♀️

It makes me think about the braiding gels too 🤔🤔 this is terrible.

Another thing we can do is stand in Unity by boycotting these beauty supply stores which continues to sell this toxic synthetic hair and start using the plant based products.

I think if as a group we make this choice just like people are standing together for these economic blackouts regarding stores who don’t support DEI we can make a difference!

Is it that braiding hair IS causing cancer, or is it that synthetic braiding hair CAN cause cancer if you are exposed to it in certain ways?
Here's another question: do the plastic combs and clips folks put in their hair contain cancer- causing ingredients?
These are all good topics to discuss, but not to freak out about.

I just bought some human hair from a company on Amazon. I read the reviews and looked at the pictures of the women who wore the human hair.

We just have to be very cautious about the vendors we use. I watched a You Tube video which was shared by a MD who wears braids said that 99% of the time the human hair that we purchase from the beauty supply shops is a low quality of hair packaged as a higher value of hair.

So from now on I am going to get my hair directly from the supplier.

Please let's challenge the idea that our hair is hard to manage and that's why many of us wear wigs.

Yes because I grew up in the '70s and '80s and I have never seen so many . Of us with no edges the palms used to take out our hair noun is the fake hair. I remember back in the '90s or Asian beauty supply owner told me the hair that says it's 100% hair It's not real hair. They put a chemical on it that makes it mimic real hair. This is why after 3 weeks it kinks up and you have to change it out. Is a chemicals in this fake hair that we are paying hundreds of dollars for that's not real either Just think Do we really believe that people are cutting out their hair by the thousands I don't think so. That's what we need to start thinking. None of this crap is real 🤨🤷🏽‍♀️😡🗑️💩
