Just installed the on my V-System and I was surprised it worked so well. I got a similar DB improvement as you did. Now I can talk over the collector without yelling. I can barely hear it in the house.

Good to see someone measure the impact. A nice improvement, but I'm still feeling like I need to build a sound insulated closet for my dust collector, they're just too dang loud.

On a non-linear logarithmic scale going from ~84-85 down to ~75-76 is significant.

Any update after a couple years of operation? In particular how easy is it to empty the drum? Clean the filter? Not overfill the drum? Thanks.

It is much better but ear protection is definitely needed.
