Also #6: Tener + Que + Infinative = to "have to do" something.  Examples: I have to eat = Yo tengo que comer. We have to study = Nosotros tenemos que estudiar.

I love how you teach, it is very easy to follow and understand.  Please don't stop teaching the way you do.  You definitely know what needs to be learned first to give one a good foundation to learn from.

Thank you very much for this. I used to teach French in the eighties and nineties, so I like this 'old fashioned' way of writing on a board! Maybe I'm a bit fussy, but I find it helpful to know what the words mean literally, so the Spanish makes sense e.g. 'Tengo hambre' literally means 'I have hunger.' When I know what each word actually means, I find it easier to learn the translation. In other words, Spanish uses different words to express the same meaning as the English. 'Tengo ganas' means something like 'I have the desire/inclination' hence 'I feel like'. By the way, I paused the video to look up 'ganas'! It said gana means desire or inclination. Personally, when I look this sort of thing up I go, "Ahhh! I get it now." Anyway, sorry if I haven't explained this very well, but maybe you could start throwing that sort of extra info in for fussy people like me!
