This video is soooo goood and would be extremely helpful for exam preparation. But please please could you do other staves from ‘Christmas Carol’ as well.

Adore the analysis of the quote, linking to religious context and writers intentions, but as a word of advice I would really not recommend writing a whole essay surrounding Scrooge and the deadly sins, because although he is crafted in Stave 1 as the opposition to Dicken's Christian values, it is insanely difficult to liken Scrooge throughout the novella to the deadly sins. Moreover, the best essays are complex in their ideas but clear in writing, and trying to liken one character to seven sins (which some are near impossible to track throughout the novella) is very difficult.
If someone has exceeded in writing a Grade 9 essay around the deadly sins I would love to know, but this is my experience and the advice I've been given by teachers.
