As a country the uk can’t expect special treatment by the EU if they’re not in it. UK wants all the benefits but none of the responsibility, EU is simply treating the uk what they are now - a country outside of the EU. What have the citizens expected, the trade deals they had before? I think it is irresponsible to give such a decision to the citizens, I don’t think anybody knew how big this really would be.

I believe there was never a referendum to join the EEC so why did Cameron request one to leave? Perhaps he thought it was a foregone result expecting an overwhelming majority to stay. If so, it was a grave miscalculation it appears. Anybody care to 'educate' me on this matter? Regards from a Brit residing in the USA.

I have to be honest here I don’t think it was fully explained what we where voting for really I think she won’t win this one sorry to say
